“Heating Old Buildings Just Shouldn’t Be This Expensive: Deep Energy Retrofits” – Lewiston / Auburn Breakfast Seminar

The Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA) is hosting an informational breakfast event focusing on Deep Energy Retrofits on Wednesday, November 9th from 7:30 – 9:00 AM at the Martindale Country Club in Auburn.

Sponsored by:  People’s United Bank

We have invited an architect (David Webster, PDT Architects) and an engineer (Ian MacDonald, Allied Engineering) to provide us with a walk through the world of deep energy retrofits. With so much of Maine developed with aging building stock and the ever increasing cost of utility bills, what is a building owner or developer to do? This breakfast event will explore the landscape of deep energy retrofits, drilling down into the reasons for a systematic approach in looking at a building’s energy usage and the sort of strategies that an owner or developer can adopt when “tuning up” a building.
