The Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA) is proud to host its Second Annual Bowl-a-Thon Fundraising Event at Bayside Bowl in Portland on May 1, 2014. “Strikes for Scholars will support scholarships for Maine students enrolling in the building trades, architecture, engineering, construction, or business programs at Maine’s community colleges. Partnering with the Maine Community College System, our goal this year is to raise enough to fund at least one scholarship at each of the state’s seven community colleges and to support Maine students as they prepare for careers that promote MEREDA’s mission of responsible development and ownership of real estate throughout the State.
We encourage you to organize a team of bowlers, and/or participate as a sponsor. This is a great opportunity to support a worthy cause and have some fun at the same time! Your registration and sponsorship dollars are used to help defray the costs of organizing the event and will fund scholarships for students pursuing studies through the Maine Community College System.
We are looking for 20 teams and will be filling lanes on a first-come, first-served basis. We hope you will consider participating in MEREDA’s Second Annual “Strikes for Scholars” Bowl-a-Thon on May 1.
The event includes a silent auction of assorted signed and unsigned sports collectibles or souvenirs presented by AAA Energy including a special surprise sports celebrity guest, with all proceeds to benefit the MEREDA scholarship fund.
